Why can't I ever get dinner ready?

This is why it takes me forever to cook dinner. I do a lot of stopping and starting.

Maura and Brody love getting in the refrigerator every time I open it. This time I actually told them to stay in, so I could grab the camera. They were both so proud of themselves for fitting on the bottom shelf together.

Red Shoes

Maura has these red shoes that my mom bought her. They are Mary Jane shoes that squeak when she walks. Maura wears these shoes from the time she puts them on in the morning until I get her in the bath at night. She even decided it would be a good idea to wear them while picking weeds in the backyard.

Thankfully we were not going out in public with her in this cute outfit!

Splashing in the pool

We went to Savannah for the 4th of July weekend, but we kept it very low key. The biggest event was playing in the little pool in the backyard.

even Chatham liked drinking from the pool

It did not take too long before they were splashing each other!

Playground

Maura and Brody love playing at the playground. The playground is covered, so it is really cool in the evenings for some outside play time.

Connestee Falls

Today Chris and I hiked to Connestee Falls while Maura and Brody napped. These are the pictures of the gorgeous water falls we saw. Chris thinks he is going back to go swimming before we leave!

North Carolina

We are at Connestee Falls in North Carolina with the Thomas family this week. It is just Tuesday, and we have had a great time already.

At the pool

Today I took Maura and Brody over to the pool where Aunt Laura is vacationing. They wore their swimmies for the first time, but they definitely aren't like those plastic orange ones we used to wear. I actually looked to see if those type swimmies were still made, but I did not have any luck finding them. Maura dunked her head in the water quite a few times and "borrowed" toys from other kids. Brody just relaxed, and played with the toys that Maura brought him.
